I also read in the comments on WDWNT that a person that had just arrived with a group of adults didn't really appreciate all of the antics especially when they had to bring ketchup to another table of adults. I can see it being fun if you have kids with you but when it's adults doing stuff like that it can be a little bit annoying. Especially as from the report the only comment they got was "took you long enough."

If that was the reason why it seems like it could be an easy fix by closing the restaurant in some with a wall or barrier. Its probably more from people that don't like the antics. That could be easy to fix too by telling the wait staff you don't want to participate. No reason to ruin it for all.
