I don't regift, I either donate something I can't or won't use, or if I know someone who will, I might give it to them, saying I can't use this, can you? I don't consider that regifting as the item isn't meant to be a gift for any occasion.
I have gotten a few re-gifted gifts. (I second the 'don't leave a card inside addressed to you)
I've never re-gifted. If I was gifted something I didn't like I just exchange or donate it. Come to think of it, I think I was re-gifted something once, from my mother-in-law. It was a blouse, a couple of sizes too big for me (I think it was 1X). I felt so uncomfortable once I saw it.
