Alcohol

So understand new rules for bringing alcohol onboard (6 bottles beer or 2 bottles wine per person at each port)…… but can you buy bottles liquor on board to consume in room? Or do you have to use bar service?

If you buy on board they hold for you until end of cruise. For the most part, it’s honor system when you board at ports, as far as if you buy liquor in port, and if they hold it for you (if you, say, tuck the bottle in to your bag).....

I'm sure some make it past the security check going on board with their bottles, but all bags do go through a scanner, so just be aware of that possibility. If you buy a wine package for dinner, you can take opened bottles back to your room, or they will hold them for another night's dinner.

Don't forget that if you take any bottles on board with you, they must be in your hand luggage not your suitcase. I forgot this last year and the bottles of wine DH & I bought specifically to enjoy a glass of wine on our balcony, ended up being stored by Disney until we got off the ship! Lesson learned ....
