We're at two weeks as well....

Two weeks today, we'll be taking the short drive (about 40 minutes) to Dover to start our Transatlantic adventure on the Disney Magic. We'll have a total of 18 nights on board, as we're doing back to back cruises and I can't wait!

We are, although we were saying today that it must be something about the Magic coming into Dover. We went to see her the last time she was in port at the end of July. It tipped with rain and the wind was horrendous. She's in today and guess what? Similar weather again. I have a bad feeling about two weeks' time....

If you saw her yesterday, you were there as our friends were just disembarking! They didn’t have the best weather but did have a great time! Rapunzel’s was a highlight for them, and they got to eat there 4 times thanks to their rotation. So strange realizing we were all onboard together less than a year ago and it was still Carioca’s!

We wimped out of going. The rain came in about midday and it was really heavy and windy again... we couldn't face going back to Dover in that weather again... plus we changed our plans with our friends from yesterday to today. We were in Dover a couple of hours ago actually.

I cannot even imagine 18 days on a cruise ship!!!

We have a cruise (non Disney) for 7 nights and then 6 nights at Disney World (luckily at Kidani!!) coming up in January and I'm having a hard time getting used to the idea of 2 two weeks away from home!!

Guess I better start adjusting though...in a short 6 years, DH and I are planning to retire and do a bunch of traveling with a 5th wheel...and the trips are going to be a lot longer than two weeks!!!

Well, it will be a new experience for us too. The longest we've ever done before was the inaugural Med cruise back in 2007, which was 11 nights long. Having said that, we always love our cruises and never feel they're long enough, so hopefully we'll be fine. As I just said to Mark, at least we can unpack properly and not worry about packing again for 18 nights!

It is getting so close. I am so jealous even though we just got off of the Wonder to Alaska. We had a great time and actually had better weather on the trip than what was at home. We were in the 60's with mostly clouds. Home was colder with a lot of wind and rain. Can't wait to read all about your adventure.

Oh I'm so glad to hear you had such a good time and great weather too! Are you planning on a trip report? I'd love to read about your adventures as well.
