Question Making changes to a booked reservation

So, now that I’ve booked my MYW package, I’m thinking I would like to add a day to my trip.

I’m wondering if it’s possible to add a day to my park ticket (change from 5 day PH to a 6 day PH) on my package and then book a separate room only reservation? I would be changing resorts from POR to ASMovies to save a little money. LOL!

Thanks!

So, you’re planning to add a day to your park ticket. That’s no problem.

Now, you want to make your resort different for the entire stay, right? And you said room only, right? Then you’re doing away with your package? Or is the room only just for the additional night?

In general, I think if you called WDW wanting to change your park ticket and hotel, they would probably just cancel and rebook the entire thing, but you would still have a package, room and tickets.

Maybe I’m missing something. I do think I’m somewhat confused.

Me, too!

But, since booking a room-only was mentioned, I’m guessing the intent is to keep the POR package, adding another park ticket day and a single night at AS Movies.

Please clarify for us befuzzled ones.

No, no. Sorry if I was unclear. I’m new to the split stay thing. Only the last added-in day would be room only at a second resort.

My package is Sunday to Thursday. I am thinking of staying Friday now at a Value resort(probably Music as it’s the only value I haven’t been too) which would be room only. I know that has to be booked separate from my package.

My main question is whether I can change my park tickets in my package from a 5 day to a 6 day park hopper? From what I’ve seen, Disney doesn’t let you add park hopper to a one day ticket.

Oh, okay. You can make changes to your package up to the time that it is paid in full. Just call Disney and tell them you need/want to add a day to your park hopper. And, you’re right about hopping on a one day ticket. They don’t add on that feature for a single day.
