Just remembering about 29 years ago to the wedding gifts I received. Other than china & crystal, what duplicate gifts did you receive? And what did you do with the extras?
I received THREE electric skillets (and gave them to my mom and siblings) and three picnic baskets--something I DID want. I kept the Longaberger one and the one that came with plastic plates, cups, flatware. I eventually gave the Longaberger picnic basket to my sister, who appreciates that brand more than I do.

We were married 42 plus years ago. Many family worked for what then was Corning Glass Works now Corning Inc. The Pyrex and Corelle brands were sold to the employees which became World Kitchen. Employees received nice discounts at the company owned store. As a result we received many Pyrex brand bake ware.
We received 2 sets of Pyrex mixing bowls which was good as we broke one bowl the first year. We also received 2 Pyrex casserole dishes. Been using the one our entire marriage. Our daughter-in-law wanted a casserole dish so we gave her the second one 10 years ago.
Should have registered. I got 5 crockpots and so many bath towels that we're still using them 30 years later. People obviously thought I was lazy and dirty. The crockpots got spread around and the towels we just kept until now, just shy of our 31st anniversary, we are using the last of them.
I remember we got two mailboxes and three different mixing bowl sets. We kept the nicest mixing bowls, and still have them today. The others were re-gifted at some point. We ended up using the mailboxes since they get damaged all the time.
I don't really recall getting any duplicates. It was almost 37 years ago. Most people gave us money. Of the gifts we did get some of them were fancy glassware items and pewter candlesticks that I recently came across while decluttering and I added all that stuff to the rummage sale box. Figured if I haven't used it by now I never will.
I don't remember specific duplicates. I DO remember people buying us things we did NOT register for as they wanted to be unique. People, there's a reason we asked for that we did...it's what we needed! DH and I were living together before we married so we already had some stuff
I'm another who has pretty much forgotten what I got has wedding gifts. I don't remember duplicates of anything though. I also know that most everything we got then is long gone now, but every bit of it was put to use for years.
I don't think we ever got duplicates, but since I am divorced I kept whatever I thought I would use. My Grandmother gave us this really pretty quilt which has been on my bed forever. It is on now. I am sure I will find more gifts as I start to de-clutter my house.
