Multiple times as a child/teen in church. And once as a very drunk person on a ship in the middle of the ocean caving to peer pressure.

I have sung solos in church, school, college, and even originally majored in music with an emphasis on vocal education. Luke and I also sang to each other in our wedding. I haven't done solo work though in years as I've had some issues with my vocal chords.

Iíve sung in front of people many times...solos, duets, small groups. I sing in church. Iíve sung for weddings and funerals. For the past 7 1/2 years, Iíve sung in a statewide ladies chorus and have even done solos with them, but my solo song has now been retired from the concert list.

I guess I can sing.

Yes.

In my elementary school in 6th grade a lady came in each year to help us put on a musical. Our year we did Camelot. I sang The Lusty Month of May (or whatever the title is) solo on stage with a of a group of kids doing a Maypole behind me (they had such a hard time learning to do it right). All the parents and lot of other people came to see it.

We sang in front of our family all the time and with good friends.

When I was in HS, I was in technical theater. My senior year I decided to try out for the musical, Guys and Dolls. I didn't get a solo part, but did sing in the chorus and had a part where four of us sang together.

In college, during Rush week for sororities, each house put on a musical skit. I sang with four other of my sisters using songs from some Broadway plays that had been updated with words about your house and sisterhood.

A few years ago I decided I was going to do Karaoke at our timeshare even though no one in my family would do it with me. So, I sang two songs in front of strangers.

I do theatre work - so yup. I have had the lead in a musical or a solo in a show I was doing more than once. It can be nerve racking - but such fun! I love it!

Funny thing is, I have trouble speaking in front of people as well! But for me singing is completely different story!
