NO, I haven't bought any yet. We do get trick-or-treaters, but they aren't from our neighborhood, which is small and all our kids have grown up. They come by car from the communities on either side of us, I guess...I'll probably buy it just before Halloween.
I try to buy things I don't like that kids do...sour patch kids, nerds, stuff like that. No chocolate because I will eat what is left.
I do love all kinds of candy if I'm in the right mood, but that is less and less as I age. Adult tastes!
We try to buy special candy when we travel to give out on Halloween. This year, we got out candy in Bolivia: We got a bunch of small starlight-size chocolate mints. They used to sell something similar here. It's a hard mild mint candy with a soft chocolate center. I like them! We also bought strips of a zots-like candy-hard with fizzy powder inside. For the special kids in our life (DS's buddies) we got these interesting candies that are chocolate around a wafer ball, like Ferrer Roche, but the inside is a peanut butter mousse.
