Thumbs up Easiest microwave cleanup ever!

If you’re like me, the “gee-when-did-I-last-clean-that-thing” type, this cleanup tip is for you. It really will loosen that stuck-on guck effortlessly!

Put about a cupful of water in a measuring cup or microwave-safe bowl large enough for the water to boil safely.

Slice a lemon and dump it into the cup/bowl.

Nuke until the water boils noticeably.

Leave door closed for 2-3 minutes. Then, remove the container and wipe out the interior with a damp sponge or cloth.

If you have a garbage disposal, run the lemon down it to make two things in your kitchen smell fresh and lemony.

We have done this and it does work amazingly well. It is a great use of a lemon found in the fridge that is past its prime.
