Illuminations to end Summer 2019

https://wdwnt.com/2018/09/confirmed-...ions-at-epcot/

I am so glad I have a trip planned so that I can see Illuminations one last time. I will miss this show. How do you feel? Are you sad, or are you more looking forward to something new?
I am sure DISNEY will do something really enjoyable, but I think I’ll always miss Illuminations. I still miss Spectromagic.

Mixed feelings.

We often talked about staying for the entire show but never did until last year. I was so touched by its spectacle and inspiration that I said must see every trip.

At least, we’ll get to see it one last time.

I do agree with Drew who said 20 years is long enough, time for something new.

I think we can feel confident Disney will do something fitting and grand to replace IllumiNations.

I liked the original Illuminations from when the park was new. This recent version we didn't like and made a point to leave the park before it even started at night. I'd like to see something new but if it's going to be anything along the lines of RoL with water screens, I'll probably skip it. I don't care for the water screen projections. They're very hard to see.

We really love Illuminations, and it looks like we won’t be back in time to see it again. Still, I’m sure WDW will do something grand to replace it. We’ll get by.

I've been reading reports from well-respected insiders for over a year now that Illuminations would be ending. I was beginning to think that they got bad information -- it seemed like Disney was never actually going to announce it. I'm not a huge fan of this show though we've done an Illuminations cruise a few times and we truly enjoy that experience. I hope they continue the cruises for the new show. I look forward to seeing what Disney has in the works for the replacement show, I just hope it's not IP centered (i.e. Guardians of the Galaxy) but rather focused on the overall theme/feel of Epcot.

We love Illuminations and will make sure we see it at least once on our October trip because this trip will be our last chance to see it. I will miss it, but I trust Disney to replace it with another incredible nighttime show.

I've watched it many times, but mostly at the request of people I was with. I love fireworks, but the rest of the show isn't my favorite. I am really excited to see what Disney will replace it with.

I am sad to see it go....

I would try to to see it at least once on every trip....but I know the last time was on the May trip of this year! I will make sure to see it on the next trip, that is for sure!

I just hope that Disney replaces it with something just as good..... but Illuminations won't be forgotten. My kids and I saw the Tapestry of Nations parade and we loved that! (I miss that too).

All these changes going on at Disney are making my head spin.... I wonder what else is going to be changed.....

Illuminations is my favorite show, so I am really sad it's ending. But I'm sure whatever Disney brings in to replace it, it will be awesome.

I'm so sad to see this go but knew it coming! I'm glad I got to see it last year and not sure if I'll see it again as I may not be back in WDW until October, 2019! It's one of my favorite things in all of WDW!

I'm very sad by this news, but not surprised. I knew this was coming, but it doesn't change the fact that this is my favourite thing at Disney and I will really miss it. I hope that Disney replace it with something better.
