Our favorite is the Contemporary. I realize it is not to everyone’s taste, but we enjoy the convenience and the resort ambience. I always recommend that folks try to focus on where they think they’ll be spending most of their time. And especially if it’s a short trip, you don’t want to spend a lot of time just getting somewhere. I have friends who recently returned from their Beach Club trip and they loved the convenience of being so close to the Food & Wine festivities. Have fun making your decision!

I’ve stayed at a few deluxes and was just at Poly last month but have never stayed AKL. The theming does absolutely nothing for me and I don’t like it’s “remoteness”. I’m a fan of transportation options and at AKL is all busses all the time. For that reason alone I’d pick Poly between those 2 but that’s just me.

I've stayed at both of those, and love them both. As Joanne said earlier, Poly has large rooms and the theming is incredible. But if you are traveling alone, room size may not matter as much. AKL happens to be my very favorite deluxe. I love starting my day on my balcony, with a cup of coffee, watching the animals.

AKL to me is the most unique resort. All of the resorts are beautiful in their own way, but there's simply nowhere else that you can sit on your balcony and watch the animals on the savannah. It is so peaceful and when I am there I truly feel transported to another place.
