new ticket system question

I don't know if this is the right spot for this question because i haven't seen any of this on here yet. I have seen a little bit about the new ticket system that will be released 10.16.18. Enough to know that I sure wish i could buy my tickets now for our trip NYE 2020. There is a quote i have seen on multiple sites:

..." This means that if you buy a ticket prior to Oct. 16, you’ll be able to use it for the first time at any time before Dec. 31, 2019, rather than on specific dates. Then you’ll be able to use any remaining days on the ticket before it expires (14 days after first use).

Does anyone know if this means that all days would have to be used prior to Dec 31, 2019 or if we used our passes beginning before december 31st we would still be able to use them into January of 2020?

The way I'm reading it, you have to use at least one day before Dec 31, 2019 on the ticket, not the entire ticket.

Definitely should have until January 13th to use up the tickets if your first day was December 31st at least how I am reading their description. Are you planning a Disney package or do you think you will purchase the tickets from a broker? If you are using an authorized ticket broker just make sure the tickets have a December 2019 expiration date and no sooner.

If you buy from an authorized broker, be sure to check the expiration date on their tickets. They vary and are not all Dec. 31. Some expire as early as Feb., so beware.

At least some authorized ticket sellers have tickets with expiration date of 12/31/2019 -- which means first-use by Dec. 31st. That ticket should then be good for 14 days into January 2020.

I have seen that February date on the broker's websites. They say to call if you are using the pass after that date. I don't typically do this, but I am going to buy straight from Disney so that there are no issues.
