FastPass+ and Ticket upgrade to annual pass question

In the future, I will have 4 park hopper tickets that I plan to upgrade to 4 annual passes. I suspect I won't be able to upgrade them to annual passes until I am at the park. Since I won't be able to upgrade them before we get to the park, will the number of days I can book fastpass+ be limited to the number of days on my ticket or the number of days on my hotel reservation. Not a big deal, just want to be prepared.

I guess my second question would be, can you upgrade park tickets to annual passes over the phone or does it have to be in person? Any help is appreciated.

Yes, the number of days you can book fp for will be limited to the number of days on your ticket, however they do not have to be consecutive days.

You can not upgrade until you are in WDW.

We're doing the same. . . today!
I called a few weeks ago as had similar questions:
--You do not have to activate your tickets prior to upgrading.
--You have to go to Guest Services either at a park or Disney Springs to upgrade--not at resort concierge.
--You need picture ID's for your party.
--Memory Maker that comes with AP's will go into effect immediately.
--All reservations and FP's on the tickets will transfer to the AP's.

We've done this before, but it's been a while. I remember them getting our tickets confused--which one belonged to which person--so double check.

Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback. I had switched from 4 day hopper package to 10 day hopper package last week thinking this may be the case. I wish I could convert to AP vouchers before I went but that is okay.

One extra note: The AP photo benefit takes effect immediately upon the AP activations, BUT - it does not apply to pics that were already in your PhotoPass account before you activated your AP.

Example - if you get to WDW and have a bunch of pics taken on Saturday, then upgrade your pass to an AP on Sunday, those Saturday pics will not be eligible for the unlimited download, and will expire after the normal 45 days.

So, the conclusion is, make sure you update your passes on the first day, BEFORE you have any photos taken by a PhotoPass photographer.
