DVC tech—now, you can modify your ressie online!

Pretty exciting, I think, having been tortured once by an eternal loop of the IASW theme for well over a half hour.

Okay, First World whine aside, this sounds like a very welcome development although may disappoint those fond of “walking back” their dates.

The details here: https://dvcnews.com/index.php?option...id=29:policies

Fantastic news! I hated having to call every day when we wanted to stay longer than 7 nights! And I hope the ability to walk a ressie does not get put online.

I was curious if this would allow walking, too. But, the ability to walk has not been put online.

I read the comments on the link I posted and noticed someone speculated that Disney deliberately set it up to prevent walking dates.

I could understand that might be the case. When I heard about walking, it struck me as similar to making 2-3 ADRs for a meal, keeping them until you decided which you wanted.

Gaming the system as I see both, though others disagree.

I agree with you! It's so unfair to those that want to make a res and can't because it's booked, when in fact its not. It's getting so difficult now and it's frustrating. I hope this new system helps keeping the res walking down. If you can book out earlier than a date you KNOW is going to be hard to get, giving you first shot at it IS gaming the system.
