Lots of Blue CM Badges!

A week at Walt Disney World followed by another 3 days after leaving the Disney Dream and one of the things we noticed was the number of Cast Members we bumped into with blue badges--Legacy Award winners nominated by fellow Cast Members.

From the man working a snack location at Blizzard Beach to a woman helping to hose down the sidewalk at Beach Club, we enjoyed congratulating each one!

We look for blue badges as well as hidden Mickeys!

I'd also never heard of this, but will look for it in the future. What a nice program

Very cool and a great way for Disney to give deserved recognition to CMs.

Now I'm going to have to start looking for blue badges. Very cool idea for Disney to use for recognition.

I once thought the names of businesses on the upper level Main Street windows were just imaginary. Not so. That’s another means of honoring CMs, a significant one.

“According to Marty Sklar, ‘to add a name [on a window] today, there are three requirements: (1) Only on retirement. (2) Only the highest level of service/respect/achievement. (3) Agreement between top individual park management and Walt Disney Imagineering, which creates the design and copy concepts.’ “

Here’s a link to the list: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List..._window_honors

Thanks Dot and some great info as always. The honors for CMs go so far back but this is just a different way of honoring them as so deserved as there are just so many amazing CMs within the parks. I've had so many great experiences with many and too many to go into with my trips since 2002!
