Last trip 2012, planning 2019 and totally lost! 🤷‍♀️

Hello everyone!

Our last trip was September 2012. Currently planning a September 2019 trip. So much has changed! From magic bands to fast passes Iím lost!! I normally plan everything myself as I need to have that control. 😝. Im currently working almost 60 hours a week and was thinking of using a TA this trip to book all my dining and fast passes as I really donít have the time this trip. Will I be able to use the my Disney experience app if I use a TA? What has changed in the last few years that is a must know? Iím really out of the loop and thatís adding to my anxiety!😉 Thanks in advance for all the help!!

Yes, you can use the My Disney Experience App if you use a TA it is linked to your reservations I have used a TA several times for my disney trips. I like that I can email her at any time with questions or plans and she does the calling. This last trip I told her what I was looking to do and she gave me a quote for what I asked for, but then offered a couple different things I hadn't thought of.

Also everyone here will have lots of good advice.

I totally understand what you are experiencing. Our last trip was 2007 and we just spent a wonderful 16 days this past March. It was like I had never been there before there was so many changes.

A TA will do as much or as little as you want them to do to help you with your trip. I consult with a local travel agency and we have clients that we do all their items for them including dining and FO and others that we do no more than book the rooms.

I would suggest using a TA - the Disney authorized TAs are free to use and you can have help navigating all the changes that have occurred since your last visit.

I have never used a TA myself as I'm like you, I want the control so I have no advice on using them but I did want to say congrats on the return trip to Disney.

Our last trip was in 2008, TEN YEARS! So much has changed since we were last there! I was always the one to make all the plans and reservations, 'cause I liked the control, too. My husband surprised us with an upcoming trip in December and he went through a TA. I have to say, it was kind of nice not to worry over all the little details. I still get to make our dining reservations and character meal arrangements, so I still feel like I have some control in the planning!

We were last there in 2016. Before that it was 2002 a 14 year gap!

I thought I had everything planned out but I was wrong. Check the party dates for MK. They do impact the touring. I didn't factor that in and it was a mistake.

I have discovered something I didn't know. On the Disney site under Things to Do, click on Entertainment. A list of times will come up for things like Dapper Dans, Voices of Liberty and a lot more.

Hope this helps. I'm currently planning a trip for 2020.
