I remember watching the Wonderful World of Disney each Sunday evening. I also recall "reading" the books as the vinyl record played and Tinkerbell rang her bell to tell us when to turn the page...I so loved reading along at age 5 or 6 maybe?
I don't believe I even thought DL was a real place back then! I first visited on my honeymoon and haven't stopped thinking about Disney since.

Mickey Mouse Club, Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday nights was sacrosanct. I had the little Golden Books, and the LP of Fantasia...boy don't I wish I had that now! I reportedly went to Disneyland at 9 months when my Dad was stationed at Pendleton, I went to WDW for one day (well, really just MK because that's all there was) in 1977. I didn't get back until 2001.

I remember watching the Wonderful World of Disney with my mom and sister. The first movie I saw at a movie theater was a Disney movie. And my dad took me to Disneyland when I was 15, which was my first experience with any of the parks.

I remember going to the drive in to watch 101 Dalmations during its original release, and of course, every Sunday night, Wonderful World of Disney was a must.

I never went to WDW as a child, but John and I went there on our honeymoon in 1986. Been hooked ever since.

We watched the Mickey Mouse Club and the Wonderful World of Disney. The first Disney movie I saw in the movie theater was "The Sword in the Stone."

The Wonderful World of Disney was a Sunday night staple at our house.
My parents also took us to Disneyland when I was about 8 while visiting my grandparents that lived in Seal Beach CA. Then not long after WDW opened we took a RV trip down to see MK for a day, staying in Jellystone RV campground.

I don't remember exactly, but I do remember watching the Wonderful World of Disney every Sunday with my grandparents. I watched the Mickey Mouse show reruns daily, I seem to remember.
My first Disney park was DL when I was 14. I waited another 13 years to go to WDW.

I watched the Mickey Mouse Club and Wonderful World of Disney and dreamed about going to Disney. We did not take vacations and were about as far from Southern California as you can get so it remained a dream for a long time. Disney opened in 1971 and as part of a spring break trip to Florida we all drove up for a day in the MK-probably my best visit ever. Didn't go back until the 90's with the kids and finally got to Disneyland in my 40's (?).

While I love Disney I recently tried to read some of the Disney books my DDinlaw had and was appalled by the sex, race and every other kind of stereotyping.

I have no idea, Disney has always been apart of my life. When I look back at pictures from when I was a baby, there is usually something Disney in the pictures.
