Question What park should I end my trip?

I am in the planning mode for next May 2019.

I am having a dilemma as to which park I should end my Vacation. I have 5 day Park passes (no hoppers), I plan on AK one-day, MK two days and EP two days.

Do I end on Magic Kingdom or Epcot? I originally thought Epcot since I love it, but Magic Kingdom is starting to change my mind. I have an Excel spreadsheet with either one.

I would like to know your opinions....and why?

Thank you for helping me!

We always end our trips with MK; we love the classic rides and characters you can find at MK. There is the most to do there balancing rides and wait times. The bakery has tons of great snacks that can double as souvenirs. And it is usually the park closest to our resort.

We try to start and end our trips at MK. For us that is the biggest and best part of WDW.

I seem to always end up at MK on my last day. I think because it just screams Disney to me more than any other park. That being said, I would choose the one you like the most between Epcot or MK.

We’ve done both. Frankly, either way I always feel sad, because it’s the last night. However, I think I prefer Epcot. There are more options for a nice TS meal. Illuminations always gives us a feeling of belonging to the people of this planet, with those special Disney touches. We like the projections on Spaceship Earth at the end of the evening. Then there are the cast members who stand outside around the fountain and wave goodnight with all those character hands. I love to see World Showcase all lit up at night, too. All of it just seems so nice, so welcoming, and I guess I think it has more of a calm feeling about it.

Don’t get me wrong. I love MK at the end of a day. I just think, for me, Epcot is the place I prefer at the end of a trip.

We use to end at MK but we've switched to Epcot for a few reasons. I don't want to say MK has too much but there are just so many rides we like and ride over and over,it's hard to say "let's end with this ride" because then it's always "one more ride" and then we end up there later than we want and then it's a pain to get out of the park with needing to get in another line. At Epcot, we still enjoy the rides and do them multiple times but it's much easier to have a ride that's the "final" ride of the trip and when we walk out of the park, we're at the car. No waiting for something and being bummed out we're "stuck" at the park and can't do anything. We also tend to leave Epcot earlier than we do the MK. Epcot also seems to be a lower key park for us too so it's kind of a "relaxing" way to end the trip. It's not so much go, go, go as at the MK.

You can't really go wrong with either park but that's our reasoning for doing Epcot over the MK.

We either do DHS or MK on our last day.
Our last day is usually only half a day so it's the one that has either fewer things to do or one that we've already done once.

I always end with MK. The last meal is always at LTT and then we stop and say goodbye to Mickey.

I typically end at Epcot. Last day is typically a shorter day leaving late afternoon. It's nice to get a last stroll around WS and a nice table service lunch usually either Rose & Crown or Teppan Edo.

For me it's almost always Epcot. Usually the morning with a few attractions and then a TS lunch around noon in the WS. Always want to end my trip with a nice lunch in the WS and there are so many options. I take an evening flight home and just a great way to end your trip.

We always end our trips in MK. It's our favorite park and we stand at the front of Main Street, take one last look at the castle and walk out with that as our last memory of the trip.
