PassPorter's Free-Book to Walt Disney World Itís hard to believe anything is free at Walt Disney World; but there are actually a number of things you can get or do for little to no cost. This e-book documents over 200 free or cheap tips to do before you go and after you arrive. You could save a considerable amount of money following these tips. Perhaps more importantly; you can discover overlooked attractions and little-known details most people whiz by on their way to spend money. Click here to see free sample pages from the e-book! Get this popular e-book free of extra charges when you join the PassPorter's Club for as little as $4.95. A club pass includes access to all our other e-books; e-worksheets; super-size photos; and more! This e-book is also available for separate purchase in the PassPorter Online Store for just $5.95.
Becuase you can cancel and no charge is made when you book, I would book now and keep looking. I have also booked cars through priceline and hotwire (although you get a weeks rental price so not good for short trips.)
Prices sometimes drop as time goes by. Another option is to take DME (or uber) to Disney and get a car from one of the Disney locations. You save the airport charges.
We have decided not to rent a car for our trip to Walt Disney World next week. I have been checking prices for at least 11 months and they have been sky high and never came down. So much more than we have paid in past years. I tried Undercover Tourist, coupons and discount codes. No luck! I guess it will be nice not to have to drive for a week! Hope your rates come down.
I just used a website called autoslash.com.
Managed to get my car in New Mexico (for 5 days) for just over $300 when everywhere else I checked was giving me prices from $450 and up.
Give them a shot...you never know.
Although...I do have to agree with KathleenAnn...we rarely rent a car when at WDW (unless we really want to do other stuff). It's nice to not worry about the driving for a week or so.
