Anyone Uber from resort to MCO

Wondering if anyone has used Uber from a resort to MCO? We've always used ME but the 3 hour departure is annoying, lol. We'll be using RAC so no luggage to check in and we all have TSA Pre-check.
Any and all experiences appreciated! TIA

My husband and I use Uber from my house (which is south of Disney) to the airport all the time. I wouldn't hesitate using it. Many drivers at Disney drive full time. Never had a bad driver here and the cars were cleaner than cabs. It's about a $30-50 ride depending on which Uber service you use and time of day you are going. Cars are always available.

I don't like the 3 hour either and always think about taking a cab.

I wonder if the Minnie Vans would be going to the airport too...

We used Lyft to get to the airport in June and it was so easy and nice to not have to sit around the airport for hours. It was about $64 with tip. The minnie vans don’t go to the airport, their not allowed to leave Disney property.

I would like to do this, but last summer when we arrived from the DME at the airport the security line was the longest I've ever seen! And in the end we only waited about 45 mins to start boarding...I am worried about this happening again if I take an Uber. Does anyone have any recent wait times they could share?

I think I read that they are, but the cost was something around $150!

I have been flying from Orlando to Chicago on a monthly basis since the beginning of the year. Mostly on Friday mornings or afternoons. The worst time was 40 minutes and that was first thing in the morning close to Spring Break. Security is usually around 20-25 minutes. If they seem to be getting backed up, they just rush you through with shoes on and nothing out of bags. I give myself 2 hours and usually have 45 minutes to sit down for lunch and a drink at a restaurant.

Yes, that’s what I read recently.
