Smile It's 2 weeks to your Disney Trip... what are you doing?

I have many weeks to my next Disney Trip....

I know if I had 2 weeks I would be driving myself . Picking my clothes out and packing- not much.

But what would you be doing 2 weeks before your trip?

Thanks for Participating....

Gee, I wonder who could have possibly made you think of this question.

Let's see, if I were two weeks out from vacation I'd be making sure all my spreadsheets are all set and my plans are good to go. I'd make sure I had all the cash I need and that important paperwork is at my fingertips for last minute packing. I'd make sure I have a list of any online orders I might be placing or I'd actually be placing it if I could (some you can only do so many days in advance). I'd be stalking the websites for any new info or anything that might impact my trip. I'd be trying not to drive people up the wall with my excitement.

I'm sure there's other things I would be doing if I were two weeks out from vacation. Too bad I'm not two weeks out from vacation. I'm 16 days and a few hours.

2-weeks out, huh?

Check long range weather forecast.
Make packing list.
Confirm pet care; lawn car/snow removal.
Make the boy and the husband their "cards." (These are famous at our house. There's at least one card for each day. Includes park hours, Fastpasses, Flight and ADR Confirmation #'s. Etc.--saves all the question asking and makes sure the husband has all the info in case something happens to me.)
Strategize meals to minimize grocery shopping.
If cruise, research the sailing that we want to book while on board.

Have a fantastic trip!

Getting my work in order so I can actually enjoy my time away.
Eating down the fridge and pantry to ensure no wasted food.
Stopping mail, checking all house window locks and gate entries lock correctly. Book airport parking, triple check the paperwork is printed and filed on phone, start parking carry on, make snack bags for each day, get currency converted - put aside small notes for tipping, finish detail cleaning house and write list for last few days...

By now, definitely packing and also tidying up the house, so it doesn't look too terrible to come back to. Checking the weather forecast and seeing if the park hours have changed at all.

I am at this stage now. We are definitely cleaning up the house and prepping pet sitting instructions. Also getting our room requests through touringplans.com finalized. Verifying all reservations and access to the disney experience app. I will also make sure that all of our phones have the new disney play app downloaded before we leave. Plus downloading any videos to ipads that we may want to watch on the way down in the car. Last but not least, I make sure my coworkers are aware that I will not be reachable while I am on vacation. I try to transfer as much knowledge to them as I can prior to leaving so I don't worry about what I am coming back to at the office.

I am 15 days away and I am currently re-reading my Passporter and making my last minute "to buy" list of things. I have a hair cut scheduled, a vet appointment for my cats injection scheduled, and my pedicure to sneak in at some point. I am cleaning out my luggage this weekend and start the packing process. I have washed and set aside my families Disney clothing. I am making matching family shirts for the first time ever!!!
I think thats it...except for checking every single day if Slinky Dog has any FPs. LOLOL

Two weeks out I think about last minute purchases that need to be made and make them.

I get out the luggage and begin packing. I can do a lot with the overnight bag and some things gradually go into the regular bag.

I look at my ADRs and FP+s every day, just to double and triple check and maybe tweak, if possible.

This is also the time when I know I want to get my hair cut. That way, it will be about right while I’m gone.

Finally, we talk and talk and talk about our trip and our excitement for things to come...in only two weeks! Isn’t the anticipation a lot of the fun of planning the trip?

Two weeks I'd be doing nothing to get ready. Our last trip to Disney the packing didn't start until 4pm the day before we left. The car was packed the day we left.
