You got some great PP opportunities! We've always found Animal Kingdom quite sparse when it comes to PP photographers.

Great photos of the gorillas! We had that experience with the viewers by the tigers. They were just camped out there, not even a thought that there might be other people wanting to get close and see.

You sure lucked out with the photopass options! Such cute ones too! I agree, isn't the new part of Harambe nice? They did a great job with it. Looks like it was there all along.

I'm always so enthralled by the gorillas, and tend to take so many pictures of them. Their eyes just captivate me.
Nice to find PP photographers in a few spots!

How do they manage to do that? You have to admire Disney for that...

Great pictures of the gorillas! When the moms and babies are near the glass it is a slow, slow queue to get near them. Love all your photopass pics with the group. Now that is cool to see the macaws fly to nearby trees. I would love that.

Saturday 24 September – part five: a rare sighting of a lesser spotted Mark!

We carried on walking, heading for Asia…

On the way, I found this very cute guy who ended up just finding his way home with us, as I couldn’t resist walking past him a second time!

We were heading here…

At least this one hasn’t changed its name. I think the animals had had enough of the heat, and I can’t say I blame them…

We had quite a wait to see the tigers, as there were kids crowded around the glass windows, and one of them was pacing up and down there, right by the glass. Great, no problem, except the kids were screaming at the poor animal every time it went near them. Oddly enough, Mr. Tiger had soon had enough of this, and decided he’d go elsewhere, as he didn’t want to deal with that. I can understand that.

We carried on through the safari and saw the water buffalo…

… and then we all stopped for a few minutes. At that point, someone declared they’d found the very rare sighting of a lesser spotted Mark!

In the next section, we eventually found the other tiger (Janine told us there were now just two, whereas once they had eight ) and he was in about the most inaccessible place for taking photos, but I managed to snag a shot or two in the end…

We headed into the aviary, and again I could only think of Bill and how long he’d happily spend in here, getting some wonderful shots.

I tried my best, and got some okay shots. We headed out of there and stopped to watch the tamarin monkeys.

It was here that we decided we needed to head out, but we lost half the group, so never got a chance to say goodbye to them, and I knew it was probably the last time we’d see some of them, as we weren’t going to tomorrow’s meets, and a lot of people were leaving tomorrow. to those we missed, particularly Sandy and Dyan. We did wait for you guys, but I don’t know what happened to you, and I did want to say one more time for putting all of this together…

We headed out of the park…

… stopping to browse in shops and enjoy their air conditioning.

I got a couple of photos of the construction as we left the park…

Next: these MagicBands!

I just love all of your photos! It feels like I am really there.

And LOL at the "lesser spotted Mark"! He looks DONE. I cannot handle the heat/humidity-at all-so I know there are lots of things I'll never see at WDW-the Halloween decorations, the food and wine festival, etc. I have to check it out through other people's TR. That's why I love to see lots of photos.

Thankfully we have some awesome trip reporters on this board!

Aw, thank you so much - that's always what I aim to achieve with these trip reports.

Oh trust me, you definitely can see the Halloween decorations and the Food and Wine Festival. You'd have to go right at the end of October, but it's do-able. We've done that time of year before and it's not that bad. I'd honestly encourage you to consider it.
