I hope they got some rain recently too and that the grass grows green again before summer is over! The donkeys would love it.

Bonnie! Glad you had a little time with her.
Maybe Millie the mule is from a snowy area? I know my dog loves the snow too, but that's more normal for dogs! But if Millie spent some time in the snow, maybe she just really enjoyed it? Just a thought. But what a cutie!

It's amazing how friendly Bonnie is with you as she loves the attention and love from others who visit and care for her! I love the expression of Mark in the frame. That's funny the name gave to the donkey with Chewy as it fits.

Well, there are two different types of adoption. One is the usual "adopt an animal" that loads of zoo and other animal institutions do, where anyone who pays to adopt an animal can all have the same one. Generally, the Donkey Sanctuary pick good donkeys for that role, although Vijay (the one who was running in the miniature donkey paddock) was a big exception. He's a former adoption donkey, but they found he didn't like crowds at all. Not good when lots of people come to see you, so they had to take him off the list. Gareth, who died last year, and was my beloved adoption donkey, was a real toad with people. He'd stand just far enough away so you couldn't pet him a lot of the time, but he was adorable.

Then they also do fostering and adoption for donkeys, where they go out to people's homes - of course in their fields. For that, you have to meet very strict criteria, unsurprisingly. It's called becoming a Donkey Guardian and they have all the details on their website. It is fascinating reading and you can see just how much they care about all their animals.

Well, they are adorable, it's very reasonably priced and you'd be supporting a wonderful cause.

I know we've seen sea mist and some rain, but that was probably at least a couple of weeks ago now. I think they've had a bit more than us, but not much.

That may well be the case That would explain her love of the snow!

How great that you have the place mostly to yourselves and are able to spend so much time with them!

It was lovely to see it so quiet and probably the fact they had an event the day before no doubt helped.
