Yacht Club

I'm staying at YC garden/woods view in November. It's my first time there!! Any room or section request I should make? Is close to lobby good or too noisy? Is transportation an issue or the standard from the resorts? Tell me everything about YC!! Thanks everyone!

We had a garden view once and found we had a long walk to our room that faced a small area with water and lots of trees on the first floor. It seemed too dark to us, so we asked for a room closer to the lobby. They put us in a bright room over the port cochere/drive. It was not loud and the view wasn't great but it was more convenient.

I'd just wait and see what they give you and then change if you don't like it. There are some lovely garden view rooms that look over the grounds that you might get.

We recently stayed at Beach Club (attached to Yacht Club) and must say that we had the best stay ever! These are hands down the nicest resorts on property and I am sure you will have the best time!

I can't speak to room requests since we stayed at the BC; however, transportation is super simple to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. You can easily walk into EPCOT (much shorter bag check lines...wonderful). You can also walk to HS but you can take a nice boat ride as well. Entering MK and AK require bus but lines at Yacht Club tend to be short and quick. We had no issues.

We also took the monorail from EPCOT to MKto skip a bus ride. This is pretty quick and convenient if you have Park hoppers.

Definitely enjoy the pool area during your visit. It is extraordinary!!
Enjoy!!

YC is probably my favorite resort. . I love how calm and quiet it is and after a day of sensory overload at a park it is the perfect way to relax. Last trip we had a room that no joke was the farthest away from the lobby. We had a view of woods/lake and faced the Swalphin. The kids and I joked about needing breadcrumbs to find out way. We found an alternate entrance by the marina which made it a shorter walk to the room when coming from the boat dock. Transportation is great in that you have options. Walk to Epcot? Sure! Boat to Epcot? Why not! The bus runs seem different every time we're there. I've shared with Swalphin and BC together and sometimes separate. It's a crap shoot to me. I love the Epcot resorts and love entering through the International Gateway. I LOVE YC and hope you do too!!

I stayed in a room pretty close to the lobby, at YC, and it was great. At least for me, it wasn't noisy. On the other hand, I stayed at BC in a room farthest from the lobby and I have to confess I got lost a couple of times.

I would ask for a location close to lobby elevators. Upper floor. The hallways at YC/BC can be very long and windy.

I had a room above the port cochere too, I think they’re standard view rooms? We booked standard view and also was given a bad room at end of a Long hall facing the back of the convention centre and service entrance, garbage area, yuck. I asked for a different room and was given the one over port cochere. We were close to lobby elevators, and I kinda liked watching the comings and goings from our balcony. Only thing I was worried about was our room had the large shared balcony. So could have been bad if there were families with kids sharing that balcony. But there weren’t and it was quite quiet.

I don't recall that the balcony was shared but I bet it was. I never saw anyone out on it near us. It was a very convenient room. And yes, we had Standard too. The first room we gave up had a daybed, the one we took did not...so that was a downer.

Same here. Second room didn’t have day bed, but wasn’t a big deal as it was just dd & I. I was only one using balcony too. No one else out there mid August lol.
We were there 12 days so I was always afraid a family with kids would move into one of the rooms that shared balcony. I could imagine children would enjoy all that space to run around in luckily for us that didn’t happen.
