New restaurant - Villa Del Lago

This looks like it'll be really nice - a waterfront restaurant in Coronado Springs. We visited there a few years ago and had dinner at Maya Grill, then walked the perimeter of the lake and the sunset was stunning. I was thinking how lovely it'd be if the restaurant had water views.

I’m sure it will be picturesque, but it doesn’t appear to be a full restaurant, but a bar that serves “lighter fare.” You could probably make a meal out of it, but that doesn’t seem to be the major push for this place. We don’t like Coronado Springs, but with all of the new construction and convention traffic there, I’m sure Villa Del Lago will be a popular spot.

I agree - it doesn't sound like a full restaurant from the description. I think it's a shame, as a restaurant would work perfectly in that location, but I guess Disney must feel a lounge would work better there.

Now that you point it out, the title of the article calls it a restaurant, but the text does say it's a lounge. I guess we'll see what it turns into. That said, I think the setting looks lovely, and I can turn some snacks / apps / lounge fare / tapas - into a meal, no problem

Now that I think of it, I guess the roof of the big new building will have a restaurant, so perhaps they thought that might be redundant ? But with a building that large, and in that location, I'd think 2 full service restaurants would not go empty. Unfortunately, Disney is still not asking my opinion on things

I tend to find the only time they do ask my opinion, it's one of those online surveys that ask the same questions every time... trust me, if you've done them, you know what I mean!

Or a chophouse.

We used to frequent one of those which I initially presumed would be an inexpensive, casual place serving comfort foods. Wrong!

Think Yachtsman without tablecloths. That’s what this chophouse was. That kind of prices, too.
