You need to link the 2 room reservations together and request that they be connecting rooms (next to one another) or if that is not possible then adjoining which basically is Disney terms for near one another.

As far as room requests, there really isn’t any good room views when booking standard at the BC. Most of the views are of rooftops or parking lots. I always request what is most important to me - full balcony and sleeper sofa. I know many request close to lobby/transportation because the hallways can be long. We just returned from the YC, booked in a garden view room, and our room was on the second floor. There is a staircase in both the BC and YC that takes you to the second floor. We loved not using the elevators, so from here on out, I’m requesting a second floor room.
