Keys to the Kingdom Tour

I've tried searching this forum, and scouring other sites.

I'm getting conflicted information on the Keys to the Kingdom tour. Is there a minimum age to do this tour? If we go, my then 12 year old, was wanting to do this tour. I found one place that told me you had to be at least 16 to do it. Another just said it was more interesting to adults.

Does anyone know for sure if there is an age cut off? If so, what it is?

Thanks,
Michael

Hi! It says on Disney's official website that you have to be 16 or older. Hope this helps

It's definitely 16 and I remember Disney enforce this very strictly, as I remember someone had a daughter (I think) on here who'd be three weeks off being 16 and Disney wouldn't allow her to take it. It's because you may see some things behind the scenes that may affect the magical way those under the age of 16 see Disney... shall I put it that way?

Thanks!

With conflicting info, and wanted to be sure. He'll be disappointed, but we'll have to try something else.

We have looked at both, he was more excited about the Keys one. Now that he can't go, he may decide he likes one of the others.

Eeyoremom-If we go (which is looking more and more likely), it will just be me and my youngest son. My DW and older two will be going to Europe for a school trip. so we are going on our own adventure.

Thanks for all the suggestions!
Michael

We have signed up for 3 Tours for our next trip. We signed up for the Steam train tour at Magic Kingdom for 10 and older. We are also signed up for the EPCOT snorkling tour for 8 and older. The last tour is the caring for Giants tour. That one is for 4 years and older.

Chuckled when I read your post. We have Behind the Steam Trains and Caring for Giants booked for our next trip. The snorkeling tour was on our list, too. We decided to do the H2O Glow party and Ferrytale Fireworks Cruise instead.

Have a great trip!

Those one-on-one trips are the best. My daughter and I have some wonderful memories of a Mommy-and-Me trip a few years ago! Have a wonderful time!
