And for my next trip I'm thinking of

not planning. I have my hotel booked (ASMu October 15-31, 2019) and I will of course book airfare, airport shuttle (to/from seatac), DME or maybe Quicksilver to the hotel and DME to the airport and MNSSHP. Otherwise I'm seriously considering not planning/booking anything and just following my whims morning. I'll have the ability to park hop and am fine with qs although I am Landry's Select Club member so I've always been able to get in to Yak & Yeti, Rainforest Cafe and TRex with a minimal wait. For some unknown reason just getting up and going wherever I feel like or wherever the random picker app I've downloaded from the Google Play Store says sounds really good. I'll take what I can get in terms of fastpasses and for dining if I can get a lunch adr for someplace in or near the park I'm going to great and if not cs I'm fine eating cs. After ten trips I'm of the do less enjoy more mindset. Plus, right now Disney has it made it almost impossible to plan because they're not releasing the operating schedules anywhere near 180 days out.

I always think about doing that....but my next trip is next May 2019 and I like knowing that I made dinner reservations. Plus this trip I will not have park hoppers. I definitely want to spend a little more quality time in Magic Kingdom & Epcot than just doing the rides.

More Power to you that's for sure...... Enjoy planning or not!

I think this is this 46 year old Disney addict's version of a combo terrible two's temper tantrum and teenager's rebellion to Disney's neverending quest to have us plan everything six months in advance. Well, I'm tired of planning but still love Disney. Therefore, my temper tantrum rebellion that effects no one but me.

I think an unplanned trip could be quite fun. It is frustrating that Disney is not getting park hours out to coordinate with the booking of ADRs.

I think so too and completely agree with you on the frustrating. The only potential problem I've thought of in regards to the last minute adr making is that October is prim free dining time if it's offered next year. However, I don't see it as a huge problem as I'm fine with qs.

I totally get you....planning 6 months out and then once you think you are set, you change again and again.... I am guilty of that! I just wrote down all the places I want to do a sit-down meal either lunch or dinner. But I get restless and want to add something new.....

At least with you having park hoppers, you can decide where you want to go when you wake up. Maybe one day I will do that too....
