Christmas entertainment at resorts

I'll be spending Christmas at WL. A while ago I read about singers, or Santa, or Mickey and Minnie appearing in resort lobbies on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, but I haven't been able to find any references to that now that are less than 10 years old. It seems I read about a chorus in the Contemporary.

Can anyone who has spent Christmas at WDW in recent years let me know if they've seen this kind of thing? I'm overjoyed to be there and to see the decorations, but I'm curious to know what else I may expect.

It varies, and I don’t know that there is any advance list of resort-specific events. Maybe someone else will know.

When we were at the GF three years ago at Christmas, there was a wonderful Norwegian university a cappella chorus performing carols. They all wore gorgeous Victorian era costumes.

We just happened to hear them on Christmas Eve, so I don’t know if they did additional performances or not.

Good to know. I even tried looking up the resort Activities sheets that they give out upon check-in, but can't find any for December.
I'm not as interested in knowing exactly what will be offered, but rather what others' experiences have been just to get an idea of what may be offered. I sort of don't want to know exactly because I'd like to be suprised a little bit.

We've been at Pop the last two Christmas and Santa was there. . . for sure on the 24th, but maybe on the 23rd, too. The times were listed in the resort schedule we received upon check-in. Late afternoon, evening times, if memory serves.

We're going back this Christmas!

That’s what these Norwegian carolers were for me, a most unexpected Christmas surprise.

Btw, be sure to check just outside the main entrance of the GF in the evenings for free roasted chestnuts.

They may be delicious. I wouldn’t know < sigh! > as we kept coming home every night stuffed from dinner. I love the song and really wanted to try them, especially since one CM serving them to guests was singing as he did.

Another Disney Christmas “someday” wish...
