Concierge level question

Hi 👋,

It looks like it may only be about £250/300 to upgrade to concierge level for the 12 nights we would be stayingat AKL, we would also be getting free dining on the UK free dine offer.

What other benefits are there to concierge level apart from snacks & drinks?

Would this be worth it?

Also I’m guessing no, but DH has asked me to ask the experts

If you book concierge level at AKL, would you be able to use the concierge level facilities in another resort?

Thanks,

Suzanne xx

Quieter rooms, oftentimes. Extra services such as picking up packages you’ve left at park pickup. This was lovely on Christmas Day after the MK had closed. The concierges can book special events, sometimes can get last minute ADRs so you needn’t bother.

And a yummy continental breakfast each morning. You can also take food and drinks to your room. We sometimes breakfasted in bed.

If you spend 3-4 hours downtime daily, it can be. If you like better appointed and more spacious rooms, can be. Depends how important a comfier room is to you.

Can’t know how worth it to you unless you splurge for once. What harm in trying?

No, sorry. Your MBs will be programmed to admit you only to the CL floors/building you’re staying in. This is in part because the lounge foods are more varied and more of them at the pricier Deluxes.

A more spacious room very sounds good, I didn’t think the rooms would be any different, I just thought it was the use of the lounge.

Thank you

I should have said you may have a more spacious room. That is not necessarily the case at every resort.

The furnishings and decor will be a bit fancier than in the standard rooms, though, the baths often more luxurious. .

Thanks Dot,

I think we’re sold on it anyway

I know we’d get free refillable mugs etc but it’s more for the convenience of getting coffee/juice in the mornings and evenings and also would be good for a quick bite in the morning as we tend to just grab a pastry anyway. (By the time we’ve all had a slushie and snack each in the parks, that’s the 2 snacks per day gone).

My refillable mug got used far more for coffee or tea from the lounge than it ever did from my trekking clear to the food court.

I warn you, though. You will be soooooo spoiled...and loving every minute of it!

Have fun!

Looks like we won't be doing club level after all

Right up until free dining went live on Disney's website it was only £264 extra for Club level and we decided it was worth it. Now that free dining is on, all the rooms have gone up about £500. (Free dine is worth £2639 to us as the girls will be classed as adults even though they'd only be 10 so its still a good deal for us)

We have booked flights, universals Royal Pacific hotel and Universal tickets with Virgin Holidays and they gave us a cost for AKL, (which we didn't book as were waiting for free dine) which was about the same cost as Disney was before the free dine went live.

Virgin can't book club level for me but have kept their cost the same, even with the free dine so that would mean club level would have to be booked via Disney costing us £764 more and we can't justify that.

I know its not a big deal and theres much more important things to worry/be sad about but I was getting quite excited about it.

Uch well at least were going to DISNEY!!! lol

Oh, too bad!

Perhaps a CL stay is something you can save toward for a milestone anniversary if unable to get one otherwise. It’d really be a nice “gift to selves” for that occasion.
