Non Disney Cruise and week at WDW

So this coming January, we are planning a cruise (on Royal Caribbean - I know...what am I thinking?) with one group of friends and then we have a week booked on our DVC points at the Poly (hoping to switch to AK with a savanna view) with another couple we know down that way.

Anyway...my question is - Can we arrange with Disney to ride one of their motor coaches back to WDW when we disembark from the RC cruise? Or are we going to have to get a rental, a different shuttle or what ever?

I am trying to figure out the best and easiest way to get from Port Canaveral to WDW without having to ask our friends to pick us up. They live over near Tampa so it would require a lot of backtracking for them if they were to come get us.

Any ideas???

You can take DME from the airport, but you need to get back to the airport from the cruise port. I would price out a shuttle to the airport versus a one-way car rental form the cruise port to either a Disney Springs hotel, Swan/Dolphin or WDW Car Care Center.

One of the Limo services might work as well, take you straight to your resort, skip the airport/dme route.

I had thought of this and really didn't want the back and forth...waste of time. And I knew I didn't want a one way car rental. We really won't need a car since the couple we are meeting there live in Florida and will have their car if/when we decide to leave property for anything.

We have never used any of the limo services. Guess I'll have to check into these. I was thinking one of these would be our best bet. Thanks for the confirmation.

You could take a Royal Caribbean shuttle bus to the airport and then hop on DME to the resort. You would just have to provide DME with a flight arrival time that fits the general time you would expect to take it. They don't check to see if you are actually on the flight info you provide to them.
