We are finally getting the opportunity to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We are a military family that typically has stayed at Shades of Green so super excited we get to stay at AKL. We are booked in a Savannah view room but have no idea what floor or area to request. We'd like to not be terribly far from the lobby and pool but don't want to miss out on a great section for viewing the most animals.

AKL has really long hallways, so I always request close to either the elevator or lobby. I have been on a couple different spots of the Savanna and all are wonderful. Some just have different animals than the others (or at least they did at the time). Enjoy your stay!
