WL room requests

We're staying in the main building for the first time this summer (stayed in the villas a couple times before). What are some good tips for room requests? I have no idea what to expect. Thank you.

Congratulations! I love the Wilderness Lodge. I had a room that was just above the lobby and I could very clearly hear all the "Happy Birthdays" and whooping from the WCC, so if quiet is important to you make sure you let them know this so they can put you somewhere far away from WCC. But the good thing was that I had a view of the lake so I saw (and heard) the EWP every night. Again, this was so loud it drowned out the tv every night but you got to take the bad with the good. But noise is an issue here. Other than that it's a fantastic resort and one of my favorites.

Agree with Joanne that noise from WCC is a big problem with rooms near the lobby.

We found it impossible to sleep in or have an afternoon nap when we had a room off the lobby.

Don’t think a high floor will be quieter. The WCC chants, cheers and Happy Birthday singing zoom clear to the top floor and bounce off all those rustic wood surfaces.

Ask for a room on the wing facing the woods high floor. We liked that a lot.

We stayed in WL October last year with a standard room. I remember requesting bunk beds (but that could’ve been via the telephone) and near transport.

We got a room on the 4th floor described as - ‘Woods View - Bunk beds’ and got to watch the MK fireworks from our balcony every evening I think this may have been in the North Wing? Perhaps someone could confirm

Yes, that would be the North Wing. I think that's the only wing available for regular rooms now. The South Wing is DVC, right?

Yes, the south wing has been converted to DVC and is noww Copper Creek Villas.

The hotel rooms are now only in the north wing.
