That is just TOO freaky as big as Wichita is! ::::: cues theme from The Twilight Zone ::::

I used to go past Cloud often to the library branch near it!

[FYI, everyone else, they live about a mile and a half from where we used to live.

Yay! Glad you are staying on property. Pop is our favorite value. Planning on staying there again in Nov if all goes as planned.
I don't know what I would do if I could stay at WDW for 14 days. I think I would lose my mind!

Absolutely, I love the big Christmas tree they put up during the holidays. It's so colorful and fun! I'm really excited to see what they do for Halloween too. -- I'm not so sure I won't lose mine! Might be a bit of excitement overload!

I was finally able to sit down for a while and whip up the first day deets, so here goes!

Day 0 - Departure Day!!

Our first day will mostly consist of travel. We've decided to take shifts just as we did in our previous trip, that way no one person is having to deal with the frustrations of traffic and everything else that comes along with the whole driving thing!

Do you guys have any ideas for road trip games?? Can be Disney-related or not. Knowing what's in store, the minutes are going to feel like hours so I really want to make the most of it!
For me, I feel like everything leading up to WDW should be a blast in itself. I love the feelings of excitement and anticipation that a Disney vacation brings!

I'm making a huge playlist on YouTube. It's going to be chock full of audio and music from WDW rides and attractions that we all know and love (who knew there were so many people on YouTube that had these treasures?!) Then we can just play it through my phone on the way there. Also, there's loads of different Disney podcasts that we plan to take advantage of too!

Those of you that have some time at work to tune in, who are looking to make cleaning house a little more pleasant or even while out grocery shopping (this is something I do! ), here are some really great ones to check out: The WDW Radio Show, Disney Magic Hour, and Be Our Guest. There's also Sorcerer radio, which plays music from the Disney parks all day long! Really nice when you're feeling a little homesick.

What are some of y'alls favorite things to do on the road?

For breakfast on this morning, we've already made plans for a hot date with a certain special Starbucks location that sells Nitro coffee (the only nitro location in town!)!
Have you guys tried this stuff? I'ts cold brew coffee that's infused with nitrogen. The nitrogen gives it a super creamy feel to the tongue and brings out the coffee's natural sweetness. It's foamy on top, like a beer almost. Oh! And you can get their housemade sweet cream added. You can only get it in a tall or grande size, because the caffeine level is pret-ty hefty. They serve it up in this sort of adult sippy cup that I think is really fun, too! It's totally worth it if you love the taste of coffee, and my husband it completely head over heels for the stuff!

As for me, I'm the kinda girl that likes coffee with my cream and not the other way around. I take my java white, and I can never understand how anyone can drink this morning nectar without a bit of frou frou added. ..I just found out that Starbucks can make a pumpkin caramel macchiato, and with it being Fall how could I get anything less festive than this?? We're also pumpkin bread people, and their pumpkin bread is one of the greatest creations in all the land. Their seared steak breakfast wraps are awesome too! ..I promise, Starbucks isn't sponsoring this PTR!!

Told ya, I love details! I do plan all these little things with the realization that they're probably not all going to happen exactly as I type them. But hey, it's fun and I've gotta keep myself busy for the next... 8 months?! ..We also love to eat, so continue on with the expectation of a lot of foodie obsession.

For lunch I plan to save us some time (and money!) and take a cooler filled with pre-made wraps or sandwiches and go shopping for a bunch of snacky-snack type things. LOTS of bottled water to use while at Disney and maybe even some Crystal light or something? We'll see! I've also been on this homemade protein bar kick, so I'm sure I'll make a batch of those to bring along as well! ..If you'd like the recipe, let me know.. super easy stuff!

We're going to be driving until we hit Birmingham, AL. In fact, we've already reserved a Courtyard Marriott (we've even reserved the same location for our trip back home, but let's not talk about that part ). I LOVE Courtyard rooms. The beds are always so incredibly comfortable, everything is always clean and I just love the overall look. Doug's step-dad worked for Marriott a while back, so we've become accustomed to staying here pretty regularly when we're out of town. ..Marriott isn't a sponsor either, pinky swear!

We were trying to figure out what to do for dinner once we got to our destination for the night, and I discovered a Five Guys pretty nearby! It's a location that has the new milkshakes... You can actually get bacon and salted caramel added.. I feel like I should make this one happen. It's either going to be the greatest thing ever or..whatever the opposite of that is! I'm betting on a lifechanging experience, though!

As I type this out, I'm laughing at myself because I'm doing low carb and working out 6 days a week to shed some pounds. I plan to reach goal well before the trip, but I keep telling people I'm losing it all to find it when I go back to Disney!

OH! Speaking of that, total sidenote/question here.. I noticed there's a food/recipes/good health section here. I was thinking of making a sort of daily accountability journal where I jot my food intake, exercise and give low carb recipes, etc... Would that be allowed here? I think it would be fun to see others do the same and kind of motivate eachother to become healthier for our upcoming Disney vacays! I had lost 34 pounds last year and couldn't seem to get into my healthy routine again, then when we booked our trip a switch flipped and I've been going strong for nearly 3 weeks. Who knew all I needed was another trip to the Mouse House to motivate me?? 34 down, 40 to go!

Whelp, that's what our first travel day is going to look like. I'm kinda wanting to get some of those window markers and decorate our car right before the trip. Maybe even some of those super cutesy Disney bumper stickers I see others sporting!

Coming up... Day 1: More travel, but... Disney Arrival!!!

Great plans and ideas for your travel day. I like Five Brothers and tried it for the first time at Reagan National Airport waiting for a connecting flight to NY after flying in from Memphis back in 2015. Didn't have a shake but the burgers were great! Good ideas with the YouTube videos and audio as well as Sorcerer Radio, which I enjoy a lot.

Great plans for the car ride, we drove down in Oct it took us four long days. I like your idea of listening to Disney music and podcasts.
Congratulations on the weight lose, I just started doing workouts 6 days a week, hopefully it will have a positive outcome.

Great plans for your travel day! We make the drive from NJ. Drinking plenty of water is important because being in the car that long makes you dehydrated. Audiobooks are also a good idea if you think the other drivers will be sleeping.
