Disney Hollywood Studios hours extended for August now

Unless things changed, the Disney calendar is now showing extended hours for DHS in August. 7 to 8 am every morning with be EMH, 8 am to 10:30 pm will be regular hours, 10:30 to 12:30 pm on Fridays only will be EMH as well. Fantasmic will be twice a night at 9 and 10:30 and the Star Wars fireworks will be at 10 pm. I wish they hadn't made the fireworks so late but oh well. Abby is now telling me she doesn't want to see them, she didn't care that much for them last time. That's okay with me. We'll do with the fireworks what we did with Frozen. We'll sit outside on our floor (or in the room at the window if we're on the right side of the building), turn on the iPad and listen to the music and watch the fireworks from the hotel.

Wow! I'm surprised they have EMH every morning! I guess it's one way to get a jump on the huge crowds expected for Toy Story Land.
I wonder what September will bring.

That's interesting. I just went and checked the two weeks we are there in september and there have not been any changes made to the park hours and there are not many (maybe two in two weeks) EMH days. I am guessing they will probably add some EMH days to those two weeks and have just not done it yet but interesting just the same that August had such big changes to park hours and September nothing at all.

It was announced in February (the 22nd to be exact - I went and looked) the changes for July and the day I posted this is when I found out about the changes for August.. September could be coming too but I would expect it to be a few weeks minimum, if at all. Disney is also saying this is an "Incredible Summer and some of the stuff is only until early September so there may not be many changes anyway. Who knows though. It's unfortunately a wait and see game.
