Yes, I have small boobs and I feel squished like an old car in the junk yard. But it only is for a few seconds, and I just keep thinking of the alternative. My favorite part is when they tell you to hold your breath...like I could breathe anyway...

I've been doing them every six months but I'm finally back to yearly this year.
Wierd that you had a copay. Maybe you'll get it back from the insurance company. You might want to contact them. It may be that the procedure was coded wrong at the doctor office.
The first time I ever had one, I fainted. Woke up on the floor of the room with several people standing over me. I had no idea what happened and how I got there, it was that quick. The pain was terrible and it seems when the tech let up on the pressure, I just dropped. For years, I told the techs this story just in case. Hasn't happened again and the machines are much better than they used to be. thank goodness
Where I go along with the physical torture, the machine beeped so loud that it literally made me cry. And my ears rang for hours. I told the tech but they seemed uninterested. I'm going to insist on a different tech or facility this year.
But agreed it sure as heck beats the alternative.
Don't let your heart be filled with sorrow, for all you know, tomorrow, the dream that you wish will come true.
