Summer of Heroes doesn't sound quite as much fun as Season of the Force...but how fun to meet Groot!

I have to say the artists' impression of how Tower of Terror will look does look amazing - much better than I thought it would.

Lol, I skipped over the photo to read the text--but you're right! It looks pretty awesome. I loved TOT, so I hope this is as much fun. But I've heard the Rod Serling impersonator many more times than I ever needed, so I won't miss the intro. (That reminds me, I have to delete that from the Hidden Mickeys page in the LIVE! Guide!)

My favorite part of the concept art is always the people. This one was no exception.

The new facade of the tower...I'll have to see it in real life to get an idea. I actually never really liked the ToT as a "weenie", looks to dystopic to draw me in. Don't get me wrong, I loved ToT, and even had to use the chicken elevator on my first attempt at age 21, because the queue experience was so compelling. Maybe this new facade will be more fantastic and less nightmarish?

It's clear that I'm going to need to watch a GotG movie before going back. Dang it!

Can't tell if you're being serious or not, but GotG was a good movie, very funny. I didn't really manage to keep all the bad guys' relationships with each other straight, but that's not especially important.

I was serious, Ginger. I need the context, I think...but I'm not a superhero girl. That said, clips I've seen did look funny. I'll watch the original. Anyone been on the ride or read reviews? I haven't seen anything yet.

Guardians of the Galaxy is not your typical superhero movie, at least not in my opinion. They're kind of a rag tag group of people who have absolutely nothing in common that get thrown together to fight evil, eventually becoming the Guardians of the Galaxy. I classify it as a silly space movie, kinda like Pirates of the Caribbean but in space. I don't think of it as a serious superhero movie like Superman or Wonder Woman or Iron Man or Thor.

If you want an idea of what the ride entails, here is a video of an ABC reporter riding it for the first time. https://youtu.be/iuPzYFRYCco
P.S. Try not to laugh too hard

Thanks, Mystic. Actually, this is what I picked up from the trailers. I'd like to see it. I do like "Space Westerns", as DH calls them.

I don't want full spoilers, since I'll be in DL in less than a year, so I'm going to avoid watching the ride-through. Looking forward to a written account here, though.

I'm heading to DL in December and will definitely be riding this. I can let you know when I return.

I just read Tom Bricker's impressions over at disneytouristblog.com. A pleasant read. It's hard to accept change in our beloved parks sometimes!

I have to say that the ride is a lot of fun! I think they did a good job with the re-theming, and as much as most people don't like change, I think they did a good job with this one. My daughter LOVES the new ride and has been on it several times already, willing to wait in a 70 minute line to ride again and again.

Glad to hear it. I can't wait to ride it when I hit DL in December. We loved ToT but we also love the Guardians movies so looking forward to this ride. Plan to ride it multiple times during our 5 days at DL/DCA.
