Interesting. The changes to CSR make it sound like it's getting upgraded to a deluxe.

DVC I guess? They're adding DVC to CBR too. I can only hope they leave POR alone.
Before, they kept DVC seperate from the resort. But now with Poly and WL the DVC is taking over half the existing resort. And WL already had a DVC section. Now 2/3rds of the resort will be DVC. In addition to the Villas section, half the orig resort is going to be DVC, plus the bungalows ruining the waterfront.
As you can tell I'm not a fan of the way they've been adding DVC. And a 15 story tower at any of the mods just doesn't make me happy..
This beautiful nature path on Bay Lake where this photo was taken is now closed due to WL bungalow expansion.

No DVC at CSR. This will be a new class of business deluxe.

I just hope all this doesn't price CSR out of the moderate range. It's my favorite moderate! In fact I don't really care for any of the others which means we'll be forced to always stay value from now on. I can just see Disney creating a new class of resorts between moderate and deluxe.

Wow, it sounds fabulous! I can't wait to check it out. CSR will always feel like home to me, since that was where we stayed for our first two trips. We don't really want to stay there again (we want to check out all the other resorts!) but we always take an afternoon out of our trip to go back to Pepper Market, visit the gift shop, stroll into Cafe Rix, and just soak it all back in. It's such a peaceful place.

I agree with others. DVC is out if our price range and I hope this new business class remains reasonable. I had been surprised when the business class lounge etc was closed. Now I understand. I would prefer to stay with shorter buildings but I guess more bang for the buck..in liked the quiet here - hope it doesn't become crazy.

Glad to hear DVC isn't taking over! is the convention centre going to be in the tower? Still wish they weren't going with a high rise.

Very interesting - I like the sound of the rooftop restaurant.

I'm kind of disappointed it's not going to be DVC, as it sounds like it would be perfect. Yes, I know I'm a Member, so I benefit, but in all honesty, that's where the money is for Disney when you look at how many DVC resorts Disney has built in recent years, compared to non-DVC resorts. I'd certainly be interested in staying in the tower one day.

It will be for everyone but my guess is that with the presidential, VIP suites and meeting rooms, yes it will be used for conventions. Their number one complaint on TA is all about things not being in one building.

This is what I was thinking too. Convention goers want to be in the same building as the convention. I can see them trying to get more and more conventions with their new state of the art convention center.
