I don't think I noticed any posts about this topic on the boards but perhaps I missed it. If it has been posted, I am sorry. I read that prices for annual passes increased unexpectedly yesterday - effective immediately. With yesterday's increase and the increase earlier this year, the total increase in less than a year amounts to around 14% or more for the Platinum Annual Pass. Looks like depending on the type of Annual Pass, increases range from $20.00 to $50.00.
The cost of a WDW vacation has skyrocketed in the last few years, with the new dynamic pricing, increases in resort rates, and fewer seasonal specials and discounts.
I'm really bummed about it all. I haven't been to the WDW parks since November 2015, and I'm not planning to go back before 2020, after the initial surge of crowds for Star Wars Galaxy's Edge has died down a bit. It'll take me that long to save up for the trip, anyway!
Disney just seems to be going after nothing but the Dubai crowd lately, pricing their parks out of reach of anyone who works for a living.
