PassPorter's Free-Book to Walt Disney World It’s hard to believe anything is free at Walt Disney World; but there are actually a number of things you can get or do for little to no cost. This e-book documents over 200 free or cheap tips to do before you go and after you arrive. You could save a considerable amount of money following these tips. Perhaps more importantly; you can discover overlooked attractions and little-known details most people whiz by on their way to spend money. Click here to see free sample pages from the e-book! Get this popular e-book free of extra charges when you join the PassPorter's Club for as little as $4.95. A club pass includes access to all our other e-books; e-worksheets; super-size photos; and more! This e-book is also available for separate purchase in the PassPorter Online Store for just $5.95.
The big ones I can think of off the top of my head (and I know there will be others) are the opening of Pandora in Animal Kingdom in 2017 and all the changes at what's now Disney Springs (formerly Downtown Disney). Honestly, you won't recognise it.
Then, there are all the new DVC lakeside cabins at Wilderness Lodge. Plus, half of the lodge itself is now part of that new DVC resort, Copper Creek, which opened in July last year.
The previous DVC villas there are called Boulder Ridge and are a separate DVC resort.
Be Our Guest dinner is changing near the end of this month to a fixed-price menu and becoming a signature restaurant for dinner. Two dining credits per person required.
Then, there’s the new DVC resort near Caribbean Beach under construction, projected to open late next year along with the Skyline gondolas.
You can do more with a smartphone and the My Disney Experience app now. The latest (I think!) tweak to that was being able to book a fourth, fifth, etc. FastPass using your phone after you’ve used your advance-scheduled ones. No more having to go to the park to a kiosk to find out if the FP you want is available.
At some resorts, your Bluetooth phone can now be used as your room key and key to pool gates, fitness centers, etc. Not sure this has rolled out to all resorts yet, though. You’ll still need a Magic Band for park entry and room charging.
