Question DECORATING STATEROOM DOOR

Ok, so we have cruised once this month on the 2-night getaway out of NYC. Spent a week at WDW and again we will be cruising in less than 10 days.
This will be cruise #3. We noticed on our second cruise that many prior sailors had their doors decorated.
Does anyone here know of the parameters for decorating one's door?
What is allowed? What is not allowed?
We have a BAG FULL of STUFF and don't want to go overboard (ha ha) with decorating, but want to make it special!
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!!!!

The major rule about decorating your door is that you can not use tape to adhere things to the door/frame/walls.

The doors are metal so anything magnetic goes.

This is one of my favorite things about cruising. I'm obsessive about my magnets! No sticky substances allowed (as noted above by others). I have seen people use magnetic dry erase boards and provide markers to leave messages with each other and that's cute. You can put whatever you want on there, keep it family friendly of course and have fun!

There are also fish extenders you can create for extra decorations too!
