I haven't heard of any, however, sadly, I've known people that have had bed bugs and I've had bites and from what you are describing, those are not bed big bites. Sounds more like either a reaction to something or maybe something else bit you while in a port.

Oh no. Could they be sand fleas from the beach? Sometimes those take a bit of time to show.

I know there are signs posted about ocean critters on the beaches at Castaway Cay. That sounds like it could be a possibility of something that may have gotten to you. You might want to go to your doctor and have them check it out so you can be treated correctly.
There are products out there that protect from ocean critters so you may want to keep that in mind for future trips. Safe Sea stops jellyfish & sea lice stings!

This sounds more like the type of rash that Sea Lice (not really lice at all) can cause. Only a doctor can diagnose a rash, of course, but the type you are describing is not uncommon after swimming in the ocean. Rinsing off in the showers immediately after swimming will help prevent this as well as the products Michelle mentioned.

Could also be a reaction to the laundry soap, check with your doctor I'm sure they can tell you more.

some sunblocks give me a reaction similar to what you described. You might want to go to the doctor

bed bugs

Bed bug bites show up in sets of 3. They call it breakfast, lunch & dinner. On me they showed up 2 days after I was bitten. Once in a KOA cabin in NM, where I actually saw them crawling on me in my sleeping bag and the second time on an overnight train in Germany (which DB confirmed the infestation in our cabin, luckily just my bed and not my daughters, and reimbursed me our tickets in full). The bites itch badly, worse than poison ivy, and are red bumps and puss like. They are not pretty. After a week they clear up. I've never heard of them at Disney. Anymore I ALWAYS check everything before we settle into a room.

Something you cant see but has huge fangs or teeth were harassing us on castaway cay in the shade. The bites didnt really show up right away but there were marks. I was worried as well about bedbugs but my wife reminded me the bites didnt occur in bed but on the beach. I still worry about them because of the hotel like environment.
