Slow cooker pork chops

Dh works in a cookhouse in the summer, so he thinks he's the best cook around and is always making new concoctions. So today, I decide toast my own and he told me it was the best pork chops he ever had, so I figured I'd share. Put a can of cream of mushroom soup in the crock pot. I used the kind with roasted garlic, put boneless pork chops on top of that, then a bag of frozen mixed veggies. I used an Italian blend, then another can of cream of mushroom soup, put on low and let it cook all day. It was so good.

I also do this with pork and chicken. I like it with one can of the cream of mushroom soup (I use the healthy request kind) and then I sprinkle the soup with an envelope of Lipton's onion soup mix. Delicious!! I like to serve it with noodles or potatoes to mix with the sauce.

I've done this too. Very yummy! I prefer pork chops in the crockpot.

Great ideas!

Ok, I have a question for you guys: I'm not exactely sure what "cream of mushroom soup" means but I *think* stores over here (in Germany) don't sell it. So, is there anything I could use instead???

I have seen "cream of mushroom soup" as an ingredient in a ton of recipes (especially one for the crockpot!) and I hate that I can't try them out.

Your pork chop recipe sounds great and I'd love to try it...

Sabine, I don't remember seeing cream of mushroom when I lived in Stuttgart, now that I think about it, except on the military base. This is what they are talking about...

Thanks for the link, Amy. Yeah, I don't really know how I'd translate that into German, as we only have a dry powder mix to make mushroom soup with or canned mushroom soup, ready to eat. Very confusing...

If you can make your own white sauce (butter, flour, milk and seasonings) you can sub that for mushroom soup. We don't used many processed foods and do that. We have also found lots of crock pots recipes that do not rely on canned products.
