We are a family of five people (2 Adults, 3 children). I know you can get buy an adult get a child free coupons and I'm counting on that. Parking is $15. Are there any MUST HAVE snacks or meals? How much are Minifigs there? Are there any other hidden costs? How much do things run at the Pick A Brick store? We're not planning on buying any boxed sets. I just don't think I'm budgeting enough, but I'm not sure how much we'll need for one day. Thanks so much!
At the one in CA, there weren't any specialty snacks.
The brick store sold them by the pound, much like at the Lego store here. We had DD stock up on trees and specialty pieces that you can't get in the brick tubs. I only remember minifigs in a build-your-own three pack.
Crazy as it sounds, our favorite souvie from Legoland is a bottle opener / corkscrew set that we bought. The handles look like long lego blocks. We had bought a bottle of wine and wanted to drink it in our hotel room, so ended up buying a corkscrew at Legoland instead of finding a Target. We don't use the corkscrew much at home, but I can't help but smile when I use the Legos to open a beer.

Those coupons can be few and far between. If you're a member of AAA you might want to check with them for better prices on admission. We didn't buy any souvenoirs, but then we were heading to DTD than evening and DS was counting on getting our AP discount and using his VIP points at the Lego Store there. If memory serves correctly, you can't use the VIP points at Legoland.
