| LOVED the Astronaut Training Experience at KSC! I don't have time to do a detailed report right now (I will, though, and will post it here as I think this forum is a great idea), but I did the ATX at KSC on Feb 1 with my sister and we had a GREAT time. For me, the best part was actually the astronaut lunch...the fellow we met, Gerry Carr, was the commander of Skylab in the 70s and spent something like 68 days in space on one mission...just amazing, down to earth (ha!), articulate, knowledgeable...even though his mission was 30 years ago, he's stayed connected and had some really current opinions and stories. An interesting aside, in our group of 12, only 3 were US citizens. We are Canadian, and there were a pair of Scots, an Irishman, two Danes, and two Aussies. I wonder if that's normal for that experience...
