Where to stay at Cape Canaveral/Cocoa Beach

We're going to add a couple of days at Cocoa Beach after our week at Disneyworld this summer and are wondering where to stay? We would really like a hotel on the beach, but I really don't want to pay over around $150-175 a night. We want to be close enough to see a launch at Kennedy (if it happens and is not canceled), there's supposed to be a shuttle launched one of the nights we are there. I was looking at Crowne Plaza Oceanfront in Melbourne, but I'm not sure how close that is to everything. We would like to go on the pier and explore/shop/eat, etc. Anyone have any ideas? I need to book soon because a lot of the hotels I've looked at on the internet don't have my dates available.

We have stayed twice at the Radisson at Port Canaveral, and have been very happy. Comfortable sleep number beds, nice restaurant, beautiful grounds.

We paid $129/night, but there are better Internet deals out there if you book and pay in advance. I believe you can book for $99/night.

Here is the website for info: Radisson Hotels & Resorts. Hotel reservations for leisure and business travel.
