| Help!! Going to KSC for the 1st time in 11 yrs!! We went to KSC on our honeymoon in Jan 1996, and will be returning Oct this year. For those of you who have been more recently than me, am I reading the website correctly... main pkg includes the 2 - 2 1/2 hr bus ride where you can get off and look at things along the way? there's a main exhibit hall to check out too? there's another museum nearby, that we would need to drive to? also, what kinds of lunch choices are there? we didn't eat there last time, but will this time. any other info you have is more than appreciated!!!!!

| We were at KSC in February 2006. Our admission package did include the bus tour with 2 or 3 stops where we were able to look around for as long as we wished and then catch a bus to the next stop. The main area has several buildings of exhibits, along with a "rocket garden" and a walk-through mockup of the space shuttle. As far as food, there is a sit-down restaurant as well as a large counter service restaurant with several stations of typical food court choices (burgers, chicken, pizza, salads, etc.). There were also a few smaller counter service restaurants. The Astronaut Hall of Fame is a short drive away. We didn't get over there, so I don't know much about it. It was well worth a visit. We wished we had longer to stay -- we went after a Disney Cruise, and had to leave around 3 pm to catch our flight home. We could easily have filled another couple of hours. Enjoy your trip! | We went in Nov. 2006 and spent the day before our cruise. We rode the bus around and got off at each stop and explored. We ate lunch at one of the stops. It was a big food court type of place. The other stops had snack bar type places. When we arrived back at the main area we toured a museum-type building and watched an i-max movie that was really cool. The space shuttle area was closed, and we wanted to head to the Astronaut Hall of Fame, so we left after the movie. It was a short drive (right up the road, if I remember correctly), and there were lots of interesting exhibits and some hands-on activities. We saw and did everything in about 2 hours, except for the capsule that they spin you in (it had a 90 minute wait, even though there were fewer than 50 people in the whole place). Everything was included in our ticket. If we go again we'd probably skip the Astronaut Hall of Fame. It was neat once, but I felt like we missed a couple of hours of other stuff at KSC. We really enjoyed ourselves. I know there were other dining choices at KSC, but we just ate where we were when we were hungry.

| I know they also have an option where you can dine with an Astronaut. The info is on the KSC site. I am going in October, too, and I was really checking out that option. I thought it would be really interesting to hear about space from an actual astronaut, and hear his point of view! ![]() |

| Get your tickets in ADVANCE! This allows you to get in via the much shorter line! The bus tour is great and worth the price; they let you off at various stops to view things and you can even take pictures through the windows of the bus- mine came out great. Yes, there is another BIG hall to visit-look up at the ceiling! There is a cafeteria in there and as I recall they had the usual sandwhich/burger trye fare. There is a smaller gift shop in that building and a HUGE one where they have a terrific sale section!! Also, take the time to walk through the "Rocket Garden" and also to the Shuttle Mock Up and the Astronaut's Memorial- it is a very touching place and made a fitting end to a wonderful day visiting the Space Center. Have a great trip! Oh, if anyone is driving FROM WDW, make sure to stop at your resort's front desk or baggage area outside as they have great maps already marked with the best route to take!
