| How much time at KSC? My mother and I will be visiting KSC after our Disney cruise. We should get there just at 9am opening. I'm pricing flights out and a significantly cheaper one leaves earlier, meaning we'd have to leave KSC by 3pm. They don't close until 5:30. With tix at $38pp, I don't want to feel cheated if we have to leave early. Can we reasonably see the sites by 3pm, or since we're spending close to $80 on this, do you think it is better to stay as long as possible. There is a later, more expensive flight out, that would allow us to stay at KSC until about 5:15. TIA for your opinions.

| Personally I think you'll have plenty of time, as long as you're there at opening. Take an early bus tour, it's amazing.

| If you get there at 9, I think you'll have time to see everything leaving by 3 Last year (our second visit) we were rushed, and didn't get there until 2:30. We saw pretty much everything we wanted to by 6, but did miss one of the stops on the bus tour because they stopped that stop at 5. ![]()

| Yes, I agree with the advice given. We are always there right after opening and in Dec our bus tour started at 10:30 or so, I can't remember the exact time. There was time for us to get through security, go to the restrooms, get a morning snack and hang out a bit before the tour. We sat on the benches and we let our kids jump around near us so they would hopefully behave on the bus. They did!

| After hearing all these glowing reports of the Kennedy Space Center, we're going to add it to our must-do list for our December trip. Joy

| I'm going to chime in here just so other folks don't get the idea that KSC is a half day attraction. We've been there at opening, and left as late as possible so that we could sneak a peek at the Astronaut Hall of Fame (next door and included in KSC admission). They literally turned the lights off behind us at the HOF. So if your family is into this stuff, plan a full open-to-close day.

| Does anyone know what time the first bus tour starts? How long does it usually take?

| The KSC website should tell you when the first bus leaves. It takes as long as you want it to - they drop you at buildings and you stay until you want to leave and catch the next one. So a stop could be a few minutes or a couple of hours

| I agree that it is most definitely not a half day attraction, especially if you have never been there before. The bus trip is a MUST and there are so many other things to see that I always find myself there until closing time. Is there a way that you could stay the night near the airport in a less expensive hotel and then take the cheaper afternoon flight the next day? If not, plan yout visit carefully, making sure to see the Rocket Garden, the shuttle mock-up and the Astronaut's Memorial before you leave. You can stop at the big gift shop on your way out,-again, knowing what you want before hand can streamline this stop- and head for the SALE racks and area in the back right -hand corner of the store. The web site should help you with your itinerary and purchase tickets in advance which will save you time when you first arrive since you'll have a much shorter line. Please let us know how you liked it and what you decided to so in regards to the flight!

| Is the bus tour a ride for 2 hours kind of trip, or are there stops along the way where the group gets out to look? |
