| Extra $$ tour at KSC??? Ok, so I was on the KSC web site and noticed that you could pay an additional cost for a more indepth tour. What I was wondering is IS the extra $$ tour worth it? Has anyone out there done this? Thanks ahead of time.

| We will be doing the NASA Up Close Tour this July when we make our 2nd visit to KSC. Will this be your 1st time there? If so, doing the basic bus tour (and there's no additional cost) and walking around the rest of the day can take all day. We got there when it opened at 9 am and left when it closed at 6 pm. We spent time in the rocket garden, did Lunch with an Astronaut and also Astronaut Encounter. Since we knew we would be going back within a year, it was worth it to get the annual pass which also gives you a discount in the gift shop. Have fun. We really enjoyed it.

| The bus tour is a MUST and take your camera since even the shots I took through the bus windows came out great!! Stopping for lunch and seeing the Rocket Garden and the Astronaut's Memorial will fill the rest of your day- stop in the Gift Shop last or you will have to carry things (and check out the sale racks in the back!)
