| I've been there (a few years ago now) it's somewhere reasonably interesting to kill a few hours - if you're into aligators obviously! There were a few activities which were fun and there are loads of aligators there, although unless they're "performing" (which kind of meant leaping out of the water to catch dead chickens!) they didn't actually do much! I tried "aligator nuggets" while I was there, and yes they DO taste like chicken!!! Just a little bit tougher!!!

| We had fun and it was interesting, but my dh thought it was over-priced for what we got. My kids still talk about eating the gator nuggets though! We told them it was chicken so they'd eat it. But worth the experience. And if your kid has a particular interest, then he'll definitely get his fill of gators...

| Our family are big fans of GL. We absolutely it! The best advice I can give you is to just enjoy it for what it is. It IS NOT WDW nor will it ever be. Actually, I kind of revel in the small buget-ness of it.(I don't think that's an actual word but you get the idea |

| well, the last time I was there was in 1991 but I really enjoyed it. You got to feed the gators, get picks taken with one, hold a baby gator with its mouth taped shut(they have very sharp teeth, and watch gator wrestling. Was a good get away place.

| I think anything is worth seeing once. However, as a FL resident, if I want to see a gator, I just check the retention pond behind Wendy's ![]() Honestly, for real nature experiences, I take the air boat tours. Air boats are just a brick ton of fun and you get to see gators in their natural environment (vs. the retention pond at Wendy's) and yes, you get REALLY close. Check them out. They're all about the same, but some give more time for the money. |
